...The Change...

Friday, July 18, 2008

I am usually a very LOYAL person.

Bila buat something, i will stick to it till the end.

Dan bila diberi something, gift; etc..i will keep it as long as I can. I still have my teddy bear yang mak and ba bagi masa baru balik dari London 10 years back.

I will still keep all the letters/cards that i received dari zaman sekolah rendah sampai dua tahun lepas ( because My Pandora box- or so i called hilang masa nak pindah rumah).

And I still keep my flowers i got at my graduation; cliche' la sangat. Hahaha..Mak pon takut nak buang because saya memang suka simpan bunga2 kering. Then sembur sikit fragrance oil.  Wangi....

See how i keeps clinging to the past

Until recently, i went back home and decide. All this has to go! I don't want to be a hoarder!

And guess what! I'm not as sad as i thought i would be :) ( i did not throw away my teddy bear of course, and a few cards which i thought cantik sangat)

And also, i have also decided to change my blog to blogspot :D... Ngeh ngeh ngeh.

...Updates from me...

Thursday, June 05, 2008

So, wanna know my updates. Not much really.

Work related...

Well, what can i say. I occupied my time fair enough on work that everyday seem to pass without me realising it. Meaning, i'm very tight up with my job. The thing is that i'm still on learning process as my job scope has been expanded recently and seeing all the  expert people all around me working stresses me a little coz i 'm not as expert as them; YET. BUT, i keep learning and asking eventhough i felt that sometimes i asked really stupid questions. Hehehehe. I'm really lucky though that i have supportive teamates taht answers to all my question patiencely.

Personal related...

Guess what. Hehehe....

NO, don't think that much.

I joined a swminng class a month ago and proud to say, i can swim already, ngeh ngeh ngeh. ( not like a pro  lah). Woo , it's quite stressful at times seeing the kids age 6 and 7 swimming pass you and looking at you like a weirdos " Why can't that auntie swim, it's so kacang ma?? Not that hard also . I've been swimming since i'm like 10 months ". (What i think they were thinking since i was struggling in a 4 feet pool )

Social related....

Saya adalah anti -sosial :|

(kunun)

Book related...

I'm currently obsessed with story books my father bought from reader's digest. Tapi sempat baca malam la sebelum tido. Baca buku 10 minit. Tido sepuluh jam.

Aktiviti...

I joined Ericsson volunteer program which the main activity was to teach and do events at Rumah Nur Slam at Chow Kid. I will blog about this later aight.

...BE at NOW...

Friday, May 09, 2008

Have you ever be at present?

Have you ever feels, smells, noted ,appreciate and get at ease at your NOW; Present?

Well, most of the times, i don't even realize how my food tastes like as while i'm having my food, my thought will linger at something else. (Example : Did i do the calculation properly? OH MY, do i have time to do that? I should have said this when he said that to me? What will happen if i did that instead of this, it might work out better? ). Sedar tak sedar, i finish eating my food. And sedar tak sedar, i could not enjoy the smell, the feeling eating the food, the gratefulness i should have because i'm having the opportunity to eat the food.

I am curretnly reading Eckhart Tolle's new book : A new Earth which teaches us to be more at present. Now i realize, sometimes when i'm day dreaming i am not at my present. And i lost it all. The time is lost! Forever! I am thinking about things that does not even exist in front of me, things that are not with me that makes me did not appreciate my surroundings.

I think it is a good book. It teaches us to appreciate life's more and appreciate our time.

Seeing beauty in a flower could awaken humans, however briefly, to the beauty that is an essential part of their own innermost being, their true nature

Words, no matter whether they are vocalized and made into sounds or remain unspoken as thoughts, can cast and almost hypnotic spell upon you

...your entire life journey ultimately consists of the step you re taking at this moment. There is always only this one step, and so you give it your fullest attention...this step is primary, the destination secondary

...Parijs Tour...

Wednesday, April 16, 2008

So, this is journal on my trip to Paris. I went to Paris with my China colleague Errant. So happy to go with her coz she is a great companion during the travels ;)

We depart from Breda, Netherlands bus station at about 11.30 p.m on Friday and reach Gallieni bus station, Paris at about 5.30 a.m. Then we took subway to our hotel at Bastille. Bastille itself is another tourist port.

Then, after we put our bags, we started our own tour around. First, of course we stop at a coffee shop to have breakfast. A young Parisians guy works there and he gave us a warm welcome and show us the ways on the map. And he speaks English!! Lucky us. We gave him some tips of course. Well, in France, it's kinda norm to give tips after you pay for your food.

Then we decided to walk to Louvre museum. Err..it's not that near but we did not feel that tired walking as we enjoy all the view. On the way, we stop at Notre Dame. We went inside and I enjoyed the architecture of the building. After that we proceed to Louvre Museum. On the way, we pass trough a beautiful canal and we decided that we should have a canal trip later.

I am feeling so eager to reach the Louvre Museumat the time. Knows why? Because I'm a fan of The Da Vinci Code book and for those who have read the book knows that the  story began at this very Louvre Museum. And so we walked inside the compound and once I saw the pyramids (again, from The DaVinci code book), I'm like jumping and saying "That's the one. That's the pyramids mentioned in the book" Unfortunately, Errant did not know about the book. But we share the enjoyment together. Then we went inside the museum and have our own museum tour ( I'm even looking for the Grand gallery as well, where the grandfather's body lying. I even try to imagine the whole things. I'm not that fanatic, am i? ). The museum is really huge and has lots and lots of painting. Although I would say, most of the people they painted are not wearing too much of cloths. Or even at all.

The pyramids

We can't miss to look at the Mona Lisa painting. There's a of people in front of her .I was at the back of the crowd when suddenly people in front of me disperse one by one. What a miracle! Maybe she wants to meet me. Hehehehehe…I got the chance to look front to front with the painting and was thinking to myself, what's so special about her. Never find the answer though. We spend more than 3 hours at the museum.

After that, we went to a beautiful park nearby the museum and have our tea. Sitting at the park drinking tea beside a beautiful pond with birds swimming in it is , haaaa, so breathtaking.

Then, we went to Palais de Chaillot and Eiffel tower. We got to see the Eiffel tower during day and also at night. The view is, masyaAllah, amazing! We did not go up the tower that day cause we were feeling tired and I'm kinda having bad headache (from lack of sleep I guess) After having our dinner, we went back to the hotel to get some rest.

On day two, we started our journey at Madeleine street. I followed Errant to visit the Madeleine church. Then we walk and walk and visit the Opera house and International Music Academy.  After that we took subway to go to the famous Arc de Triomphe. The arc is spectacular. In front of the arc is the street where besides of the street are all the famous shopping places. We had our lunch at a restaurant and we spend like 2 hours there because the food is good. From the main course to desert. Then we visit the infamous LV shop. We did buy anything though becoz I think I'm not a LV type of person. Luckily!!

Then we again took subway to go for our canal trip. It's very enjoyable. Cruising the canal with gentle wind flowing. Our luck, we got to see two rainbows side by side. It's a fantastic view. I haven't see two rainbows side by side and very near before.

The two rainbows side by side

After that we visit the Palais Royal. After that, we rush to Eiffel Tower. As the day before we haven't got the chance to go up. Luckily, there are not many people there and getting the tickets are very easy. We decided that we will go to the second tier as it is the middle between the three tier and we can't see our surrounding more clearly. The view? What more can I say. Big Smile We went up at night and the view are so so so beautiful. I remember saying to Errant, I still can't believe I'm in Paris.

Scenery on top of Eiffel Tower

Then, I took the bus back to Netherland that midnight and reach Breda early in the morning.

Alhamdulillah. My words can't describe what I feel during my Europe trip. I used to dream about it and now it has become reality. Thank you Allah for this chance.

For pictures, kindly go to my fotopages.

I decided that I don’t really like to use flickr as I can’t make lots of sets.

Next: Umrah /Hajj  InsyaAllah

...Weekends...

Tuesday, March 04, 2008

So, what did i do ad went during the weekends?

Belgium or Germany?

Well, i went both! :D

On Friday night, we have been recommend to go to a restaurant in Arendork, Belgium for dinner which took about an hour from where we are. So we went there and we had a really 'huge' meals. It's really huge. Well, i can't finish it all  but we had a great night as it's one of our collegue last night there.

Then, the next day, we had a trip to Dusseldorf, Germany. It's a fashion and shopping city i would say. All the people there dresses up and we couldn't stop looking at them. And the cars the drive are marvellous. Naj would sure love to see this. All the famous fashion shop in the world are here. So we spend the whole day there.

And the next day, I decided to take the train to Antwerp, Belgium. It is a very nice and old town. Belgium are famous for its chocolate and laces. And it's a very lively town. I'm glad i went there. I'll upload the pictures soon in my flickr.

So, there it is.

And here's another picture i thought u'll enjoy. We were walking back from one of our dinners when we came along this street that reminds us about Harry Potter streets.

...More stories...

First week

In the first week, we met colleagues from US, Brazil and China. We instantly clicked. Till today, we had lots of fun together, went to lunch, dinner and travel together.

Our first dinner together was at a Chinese restaurant just beside Ericsson office in Rijen. The funny thing is that, all 6 of us couldn't fit into one car. Soo one of them has to actually seat at the boot. One on the way to the restaurant and one on the way back. Kekeke, it was like bringing a illegal immigrant. It is really funny. This is the picture of all of us together.

On that weekend, a few of us went to Amsterdam together. Evs and I depart from our hotel at about 7.30 a.m. We took a train from Tilburg to Amsterdam. But we had to change train and bus in the middle of the way at Hertogenbosch to Utrech Central as there are contructions going on. We meet the others at Amsterdam Central train. From there, we walk to Amsterdam central. We took a canal ride which took about one hour to have an overview on the whole of Amsterdam. It's really fun and the view is stunning!

After that, we went to eat at a halal restaurant which sells sharma or we called kebab in Malaysia. It's a big one though. Then after we filled our stomach, we started to walk around the city, along the shopping places. Pass through the Rikjsmuseum, Amsterdam Hard rock cafe, Anne Frank's house, the tulips market and a lot more places on which the pictures on my flickr can tell you. And we had a mint tea. which smells like laksa. :D

Then on Sunday, as Evs and I have moved into a new hotel or guest house which we are currently staying, we went cycling around the park in Breda. It's another attractive place.

Owh, Nad, I will take the the picture later aight.

I have an amazing weekend! Alhamdulillah.

Second week

Our training continues. This week was on the job training. We are each place on the engineers room. And the view from my room was superb. This is how it looks like.

Yesterday, we went to have dinner at an Indonesian restaurant. For Evs and I, it was like...yeeehaaa...We gotta eat some local food. Luckily our USians, Brazil's and Chinese friend loves the food as well as it's delicious. The waiter even greet us " Apa khabar" :D. The restaurant turns out to be a family business and they are originated from Indonesia. We had lots of fun and laughter during the dinner.

Tonite, we went for dinner in an Italian restaurant after shopping. Owh yes, I forget to tell you that the shops over here close at 6, except on Thursday and weekends where the shops will open until 9. That's why on Thursdays, you'll find lots of people at the shopping area.

Can't wait for this weekend, we'ree going to visit either Belgium or Germany. Will keep ya'll updated. ;)

And, if you want to check out more detail stories of our experiences, you can check out Evs blog ;)
